Police Budgets
I made this interior illustration for an information resource zine about Madison’s relationship to policing, bodycams, and other “reforms” solely focused on technology. Technical solutions that focus on giving officers new tools only end up funneling money into police departments and exacerbating the real problem of violent, ineffective policing that ignores inequality and other sources of crime.
